There are three types of contact profiles in Portal.
- Web Store Customer
Created either by the customer through the Web Store or an authorized staff member through Order Entry. Web Store contacts have personal information, billing address, a legitimate email, and be marked as a "Web Store Customer" in the Web Store tab of the contact editor.
- Order Entry "Express Contact" Customer
Created by authorized staff when making payments for the customer. To view Order Entry Express Contacts in the Contacts module, select the box under the clock icon. Express contacts are indicated by the clock icon, have no personal information, and are assigned an automatically-generated email that includes the Express Contact ID (for example, Express Contact 4820141527 has the email ..firstname.lastname@example.org).
- Import List Contact
Account used to uniformly collect information through payment items. Identified in Contacts when assigned an import list and contact number (ID number). Typically contains first name, last name, and ID number. In certain instances, the contact account may also include balance, PIN, and site ID. An import list contact can be linked to a Web Store or Order Entry customer but does not have independent login credentials or associated payment information.
