Vanco’s RevTrak online payment solution for schools now offers a streamlined process of a signing into PowerSchool SIS. SSO enables users, both school administrators and parents, to log in just one time using their RevTak credentials, eliminating the need of a repetitive sign-in. SSO solves key problems by providing greater security and compliance. Vanco is focused on providing a one-of-a-kind user experience and we strive to improve usability and user satisfaction. Below you will find instructions for the admin and parent experience.
**Before setting up your SSO, make sure you have the most up to date plugin. See 'Troubleshooting' section below.**

PowerSchool SSO RevTrak User Guide: School Administrator
1. Log into PowerSchool using your PowerSchool credentials.
2. On the left-hand navigation menu, select “Applications” and click on Vanco RevTrak Portal.
3. A successful sign in with PowerSchool message will appear for all users signing in for the first time since SSO has been implemented. Select your RevTrak account and click on “Sign in”.
4. You will be taken to the Dashboard landing page once signed in. Upon signing out of your Revtrak’s account, you no longer have to enter credentials when trying to access the RevTrak portal from PowerSchool.
PowerSchool SSO RevTrak User Guide : Parent Experience
1. Log into PowerSchool using your PowerSchool parent credentials.
2. On the left-hand navigation menu, click on the “Balance” and review your current balance.
3. Click on “Make Payment" for the balance you wish to pay for. You will be re-directed to RevTrak Sign-in page. Enter the email address you use to log into RevTrak and click “Submit.”
4. A welcome message will be displayed to all users signing in for the first time. A 6-digit code will be sent to the email address provided on the previous screen for verification.
5. A layout of the verification email.
6. Enter the 6-digit code and click “Submit.” You have now successfully signed in to your RevTrak parent portal. You can view your student and the balance under “Fees.”
Troubleshooting
Ensure You Have the Most Recent Plugin
Vanco's RevTrak and PowerSchool SSO Plugin Instructions:
To utilize the PowerSchool parent and administrator single sign-on (SSO) into RevTrak, the newest version of the RevTrak PowerSchool plugin must be downloaded from the RevTrak Admin Portal and then installed in your district or school’s PowerSchool environment.
There are two plugins required for the overall RevTrak and PowerSchool integrations. The “RevTrak Schema” plugin is a prerequisite for all PowerSchool and RevTrak integrations. The “PowerSchool plugin” is required for the actual integration features to operate.
RevTrak Schema Plugin:
- Ensure the PowerSchool Schema Plugin from the RevTrak Admin Portal is installed and enabled. To confirm your school or district is using the Schema plugin, complete the following steps:
- Log into the PowerSchool Admin Portal
- Select System Management
- Select Server
- Select Plugin Configuration
- Search for “RevTrak Schema” and ensure it is installed
- If installed, then jump to PowerSchool Plugin Section below
- If not installed, complete the following steps
- Log into the RevTrak Admin Portal
- Select Settings
- Select Integrations
- Select “Download Schema Plugin”
- To install the Schema plugin in your PowerSchool environment, complete the following steps:
- Log into the PowerSchool Admin Portal
- Select System Management
- Select Server
- Select Plugin Configuration
- Select Install
- Select to choose the file downloaded from the RevTrak Admin Portal
- Select Install
- Once installed, search for the plugin names “RevTrak Schema”
- Check the “Enable” box and review the popup
- Check “Enable” on the popup
RevTrak PowerSchool Plugin (For use with SSO)
- If your school or district utilizes an old version of the RevTrak Powerschool Plugin, complete the following steps to remove it:
- Log into the PowerSchool Admin Portal
- Select System Management
- Select Server
- Select Plugin Configuration
- Search for “RevTrak”
- If installed, remove it by selecting the Delete button
- Download the newest version of the PowerSchool plugin from the RevTrak Admin Portal. To do so, Administrators must complete the following steps:
- Log into the RevTrak Admin Portal
- Select Settings
- Select Integrations
- Under “PowerSchool Plugin Configuration”, answer “Yes” or “No” to choose the appropriate plugin for your school or district depending on your use of the Marcia Brenner & Associates (MBA) plugin
- Download the PowerSchool Plugin
- To install the PowerSchool plugin in your PowerSchool environment, complete the following steps:
- Log into the PowerSchool Admin Portal
- Select System Management
- Select Server
- Select Plugin Configuration
- Select Install
- Select to choose the file downloaded from the RevTrak Admin Portal
- Select Install
- Follow the instructions and press the “Register Button”
- Once installed, search for the plugin names “RevTrakSSO”
- Check the “Enable” box and review the popup
- Check “Enable” on the popup
Does Your School or District Use the PowerSchool MBA Cafe Integration?
If yes, make sure you have the latest MBA Cafe Plugin v.23.9. (Please find the release message below.)
If you are updating to the new MBA Cafe Plugin v23.9, to ensure uninterrupted operation of your Vanco RevTrak, PowerSchool, and MBA Cafe integration, please complete these steps:
- Follow MBA's instructions below to update to the new Cafe Plugin v23.9 within the PowerSchool Admin Portal.
- Download the appropriate new RevTrak MBA Cafe Plugin from the RevTrak Admin Portal.
- In the PowerSchool Admin Portal, disable and uninstall the old RevTrak MBA Cafe Plugin.
- Install and enable the new RevTrak MBA Cafe Plugin in the PowerSchool Admin Portal.
- Contact Vanco RevTrak Customer Support immediately to switch your integration to the newest version.
These steps will help ensure a smooth transition to the new version and continued seamless integration.
MBA Cafe Plugin Instructions
MBA is excited to announce the release of the Cafe Plugin v23.9!
The new version of MBA Cafe 23.9, AVAILABLE NOW not only has the ability to allow 3rd Party payment vendors to update current balances without requiring a manual recalculation, but it also has a brand-new Point of Service Interface that is user-friendly and touchscreen worthy!
IMPORTANT: Prior to updating the plugin complete the following:
- Review the Café 23.9 Overview and the Café Migration videos
- Districts with a 3rd party payment vendor should notify the vendor that the MBA Cafe plugin has updated the payment fields
- Recalculate Balances
- Backup Balances
- After installing the new plugin:
- Migrate
- Using a small group of students/staff, compare the Backup Balances report with the lunch transaction page to verify the values are the same
